Empowering Graduates, Connecting Futures: 3rd Annual High School Workforce and Education Expo

Updated: Mar 7

At B.E.L.L. (Black Economic Leadership League of Rock Hill), our mission is clear: to serve as a resource and advocate for the Black community, championing economic justice for the 38% of Rock Hill. With a focus on workforce development and education, one of our three pillars, we are committed to creating pathways to success for our community's youth.

Over the past five years, we've seen the impact of our efforts firsthand. Through initiatives like "It Takes a Village," we've supported over 50 families, providing essential resources and support networks. Additionally, in partnership with NFL partners, we've been able to contribute $10,000 to local students, kickstarting their financial futures with startup bank accounts.

One of our proudest achievements has been assisting nearly 100 graduating seniors with job and career exploration and placement. By connecting students with local businesses and educational institutions, we've helped pave the way for their future success.

Now, we're thrilled to announce our upcoming event: the High School Workforce and Education Expo on Wednesday, March 20th from 10 AM- 1PM. This expo serves as a vital platform for students to explore career opportunities, gain insights into training programs, and even secure employment onsite. By fostering collaboration between education, workforce development, and business initiatives, we're empowering our youth to thrive in the workforce of tomorrow.
