Schedule Changes to MyRide Transit Service
The safety of our riders and employees is a top priority for My Ride and the City of Rock Hill. We are closely monitoring the coronavirus/COVID-19 situation and taking direction from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SC DHEC) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Beginning Sunday, March 22, My Ride will operate on a modified schedule as follows:
Sunday service is suspended until further notice.
Route 1 – Downtown/Knowledge Park Loop is suspended every day until further notice.
My Ride Direct paratransit service will follow the modified fixed-route service, operating in the areas of Routes 2, 3 and 4 with no Sunday service until further notice. We request paratransit appointments be limited to essential travel such as work, healthcare appointments, pharmacy and grocery shopping.
The modified schedule will be in effect until further notice. Route 2 – Saluda/Heckle, Route 3 – Cherry/Riverwalk and Route 4 – Dave Lyle/Galleria will operate on normal schedule 7 AM – 7 PM Monday through Saturday.
We are taking precautions by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces. We ask riders to practice social distancing when riding, leaving as much space as possible between you and other riders. Additionally, don’t ride if you’re not feeling well, wash hands regularly with soap and water, and cover your coughs and sneezes.
“We are concerned for the health, safety and well-being of our passengers, drivers and the general public during this time,” said Mayor John Gettys. “We recognize that My Ride transit plays a critical role in our community and many people rely on services daily. We plan to reestablish regular service as soon as is feasible.”
The City will continue to monitor the pandemic and follow state and federal guidelines. Schedule changes can be found on MyRideRockHill.com and the My Ride mobile app, as well as @MyRideRockHill on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Update
During this time of health and safety concerns, the City of Rock Hill urges citizens to follow guidelines given by DHEC and the CDC including general personal hygiene, hand washing and social distancing.
Although PRT programs and events have been canceled through April 3, all parks, playgrounds, green spaces, and trails remain open at this time. The four recreation centers, the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center, the Cherry Park Tower and the Manchester Meadows office are closed at this time.
Any updates will be posted to cityofrockhill.com and to City of Rock Hill social media sites including the PRT Department’s Facebook and Instagram accounts @rockhillprt.

Free Lunch for Students from McDonald's
With the recent school closures due to the Covid-19 National Emergency, we realize that many families in our area may need assistance to provide lunch for students. To ease that burden, our McDonald’s restaurants will offer a free lunch to children 12 years old and under. This free lunch offer will consist of the following: student choice of one plain hamburger, plain cheeseburger or 4pc McNugget, one small fry or Apple Slices. This offer will be valid weekdays, Monday-Friday, 11am-1pm, until March 27 (or until school reopens).
Student must be present to receive the free lunch. We ask that parents utilize the Drive-Thru to place these orders. At the Drive-Thru speaker, please inform the order taker that the lunch is for a student.
